I'm Willow, a self-taught artist based in Minnesota. My favorite mediums to create with are Oil Paints, Linocut Printmaking, and Digital Art. I enjoy mixing mediums and experimenting while creating.

My favorite subjects to paint are animals, especially cats. Our pets touch our hearts uniquely, and we never have long enough with them. I enjoy focusing on the small and special parts of our time with them, like soft paws, sharp tongues, and wet noses; the details we see when admiring our companions, and that we miss when they are gone. I try to capture the joy and the humor in our love for them. My pursuit is to freeze the moments in time we have with them, so we can honor and cherish what they have given us.

When I'm not taking care of our many rescue dogs, cats, and rats, I enjoy playing video games, reading, and writing. I also like to cut and color my hair. I love fantasy worlds and magic, which can make us feel as if we've been transported to other worlds. I also like to explore these hobbies in my art, which gives me joy in a shared sense of nostalgia with my friends and community.

I identify as a member of the LGBTQ community, and I love to create things to celebrate Queer Joy.

Mental Health and Disability are central to my life. I believe these are things that make us unique and set us free. We can learn to harness our differences to make differences in the world. It's important to speak honestly about our struggles so that others can accept their own.
